Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026
This policy replaces the default WordPress comment-and-Gravatar template currently published on the Privacy page. Paste the body below into Pages → Privacy Policy. Have counsel in Oman review before go-live; this is an operational draft, not legal advice.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Dauzana International LLC (“Dauzana”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit www.dauzana.com, place an order, create an account, join our mailing list, or write to us on email or WhatsApp.

We are a company registered in the Sultanate of Oman. Commercial registration number: 1393009.

Customer Care: Sunday to Thursday, 09:00–16:00 Oman time (excluding bank holidays).

  • Telephone / WhatsApp: +968 7712 1612
  • Email: customerservice@dauzana.com
  • Post: PO Box 484, PC 133, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

2. The information we collect

We collect only what we need to run a beauty and fragrance shop.

When you browse
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and referring site.
  • Cookies and similar tools described in section 7.
When you buy or check out
  • Name, billing and delivery address, email, telephone number.
  • Order contents, value in Omani rial, payment method chosen (card, digital wallet or cash on delivery).
  • We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Card details are handled by our payment provider.
When you contact us
  • Messages sent through the website form, email, or WhatsApp, including any product or order number you share.
When you create an account or save a wishlist
  • Login email, password (stored in encrypted form), saved addresses, order history and wishlist items.
When you join our list
  • Email address and, if you choose, first name and preferred language.

We do not ask for date of birth, national ID or health records as a condition of purchase. If you volunteer skin concerns in a message, we treat that as correspondence, not a medical file.

3. Why we use it

  • To fulfil your order. Confirm payment or cash-on-delivery, pack from Muscat, ship or arrange collection, and send tracking.
  • To talk to you about that order. Email, telephone or WhatsApp for confirmation, delays, returns and questions.
  • To run the website. Keep the shop secure, remember your cart, measure which pages work.
  • To send brand news, only where you have asked us to, or where Oman law allows a service message about a purchase. You can leave the list at any time.
  • To meet the law. Tax, accounting, consumer and anti-fraud duties in Oman.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent our customer list.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with people who help us serve you, and only as much as they need:

  • Payment processors such as our card and wallet provider (for example Stripe or the acquirer we connect), to take payment and reduce fraud.
  • Delivery partners inside Oman and, where we ship beyond Oman, the courier on that route.
  • WhatsApp / Meta when you write to +968 7712 1612. That conversation also sits on Meta’s systems under their terms.
  • Email and automation tools used to send order receipts and, if you opt in, brand letters.
  • Hosting and shop software WordPress, WooCommerce and our hosting provider.
  • Analytics and advertising partners such as Google and Meta, if pixels or tags are active on the site — used to understand visits and, if you consent, to measure campaigns. We will not run remarketing on a first visit without a cookie choice.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where the law requires it.

Some of these partners process data outside Oman. Where that happens we expect them to protect it to a standard consistent with Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022) and this policy.

5. How long we keep it

  • Orders, invoices and tax records: for the period Oman accounting and tax rules require — typically at least five years.
  • Account and wishlist: for as long as the account stays open, then a short period after you ask us to close it.
  • WhatsApp and email threads: for as long as needed to finish the request, then in archive for customer-care history unless you ask us to delete them and the law allows it.
  • Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics cookies: according to the periods in section 7.

6. Your rights

Under Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law you may, subject to legal limits:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask for a copy.
  • Ask us to correct what is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete data we no longer need.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses, including marketing.
  • Withdraw consent where consent was the basis for processing.

Write to customerservice@dauzana.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. You may also raise a concern with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the competent authority for personal data in Oman.

7. Cookies

The shop uses cookies and similar tools.

  • Essential. Cart, checkout, login, security. The site cannot take an order without these.
  • Preferences. Language or last-viewed ritual, if we enable them.
  • Analytics. How the shop is used, in aggregate.
  • Marketing. Only if you accept them — used to understand campaigns, not to surprise you on a first visit.

A cookie banner will sit on the live site. Essential cookies run in any case. Analytics and marketing wait for a choice. You can also block cookies in your browser; some shop features may then fail.

8. Children

Our products and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, write to customerservice@dauzana.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls on the shop and payment partners who are required to meet card-industry standards. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure. Please use a strong password if you open an account and do not share one-time codes we send you.

10. Links and other sites

Instagram, Facebook and payment or map windows that open from our pages have their own policies. This document covers only Dauzana.

11. Changes

We will post updates on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is material we will also send a note to the email on your last order or account, where we have it.
